Where is the Sansevieria (Snake Plant) native to?
What are these artificial Sansevieria plants made of?
We use only the highest grade of durable materials available to ensure longevity and guarantee realism. Our artificial Sansevieria plant has flexible metal wires integrated into the leaves so you can manipulate them to the right shape and flow to create the most natural look. Typically, we use either a polyester blend or PEVA to create the lifeline waxy texture snake plants are famous for, while still capturing the right colouring. We always use non-toxic materials to engineer the freshest-looking artificial plants available.
Can I use my Snake Plant outdoors?
While we design durable artificial plants, our Sansevieria plant was designed for indoor use. When artificial plants are exposed to direct sunlight or heavy rain, they start to fade rapidly, and the leaves can be damaged. However, if your balcony, patio, or porch is shaded and protected from the elements, you can place them here. We recommend avoiding placing them in direct light. If your ideal artificial plant location is in a bright sunny area of your home, you can spray them with a specially designed UV protection spray twice a year to maintain the leaves.
How do I clean and maintain my artificial Sansevieria?
One of the benefits of choosing artificial plants is how little maintenance they require. There’s no need to water, feed, or move for optimum sunlight. It’s as simple as regularly wiping the leaves down with a damp cloth. If a deeper clean is required, warm, soapy water is sufficient. The leaves can handle light scrubbing, so don’t worry about damaging them. There’s no need to soak the leaves; a light dab will do it. Either leave your freshly cleaned plant to air dry or polish it dry with a clean cloth.
How do you place an artificial Sansevieria in a pot?
Our artificial Sansevieria plant is equipped with a thick bare stem. This allows you to style and place your Sansevieria in places where it would naturally grow, such as between rocks, walls and at the base of plants. To style within a pot, ensure the stem is secured upright with the help of either rocks or florist foam. You can use decorative bark, stones, or dried moss to fill the gaps around the edges, but some people prefer real soil for a more authentic look. The choice is yours.
Where should I place the artificial Sansevieria?
The true beauty of the artificial Sansevieria is how versatile it is. It looks particularly wonderful in windowless bathrooms, dark hallways that need a bright spot, or corners of the home. As it is a tall, narrow plant, it’s well-suited to tight spaces that require softening, whether it’s on a landing, next to a TV or bookcase, with a lamp, or in your entryway. It’s also pet-friendly, so you don’t have to worry about your furry friends getting into it.
